After having recovered from her paralysis, a mere three years has passed since Barbara was shot by the Joker, and she is still getting used to having full mobility again and facing villains directly. It seems everywhere she turns she’s crippled with the memories of her paralysis, but she has to move forward, to use the miracle she was given - be her own damn hero again.

ORACLE
Crippled by the Joker during the Killing Joke story. Paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair, a normal life is nothing she could just go back too. Not when she knows what’s out there. & helpless has never been something that defined Barbara Gordon. Babs turns to another one of her skills to pick her up. She begins using technology and computers to help other super-heroes by operating a worldwide communications network. This provides up-to-the-minute espionage and intel, as well as coordination and organization. In addition to her involvement with the Bat Fam,she’s also a member of the Birds of Prey, Justice League, Suicide Squad & Batman Incorporated. & maybe it’s not the life she initially saw herself having, but she lives. It fulfills her, & undeniably she’s doing more good as Oracle than she ever could as batgirl.

BATGIRL YEAR ONE
Barbara Gordon is a bright and eager young woman (age around 18) who has already achieved much in her life but struggles to find her true calling. After graduating college in her teens, Barbara hoped to follow in her father’s footsteps and serve as a dedicated officer of the law, but no one seems to take her seriously, with her father often saying she doesn’t even make the ‘heigh requirement.’ This leads Barbara to seize a different path towards her goal and adopt the vigilante persona of Batgirl. As she learns the ropes of the vigilante lifestyle, she finds herself thrown into conflict with batman and the crosshairs of aspiring supervillains. Pretty much she’s just a tiny thing learning how to be badass.

Having learnt the ropes of the vigilante lifestyle. Batgirl can be see kicking ass on the Gotham news. Working with Batman & his various robins. She finally feels she’s found a way to make a difference in Gotham. & she loves it.

Finally after some intense butt-kicking (& begging) Barbara makes her way into the covert team established by the Justice League, made up of other sidekicks wanting to prove themselves, & to fight the good fight. Here she helps save the world, working in a team which is somehow bigger then the one she’s used to working with

ARKHAM SERIES
Barbara Gordon is the daughter of Gotham City James W. Gordon and was forbidden by her overprotective father from joining the GCPD. Instead, she took on the identity of Batgirl and was a crime-fighting partner of Batman for years. But that all ended when the Joker shot her through the spine. Paralyzed from the waist down and using a wheelchair, Barbara adopted the new identity of and now aids the Dark Knight with her computer expertise, providing Batman with a constant stream of information in the field to aid his battle against crime.

set after the events of TKJ. Her memory won’t let her forget the way that cold, steel, bullet had ripped through her flesh, & collided with spine. Nor the grin LOOMING over her. The sounds of her fathers piercing screams. Or the jokers cold fingers prying her clothes from her body. All to get to the BATMAN. FOR the BATMAN. she’d asked herself numerous times where’d he’d been when her family had been used as pawns in a game especially designed for him. Where had he been when she was shot for amusement ? Stripped & photographed for entertainment ? While she’d bleed out on the ground ? – While her dad had been driven to the proverbial EDGE. Gifted with the worst day. Just to prove that just one bad day could dive a man mad.
& commissioner gordon hadn’t been the same after that. Wrecked with the guilt of what had happened to his little girl. That she had been paralysed to provoke him. ( She was so young. ) He became OBSESSED. Checking into Arkham multiple times a day just to make that the joker was still there. He could barley work. Couldn’t think of anything but making sure that bastard STAYED there. He ceased communication with everyone. Even his daughter – who was sure he couldn’t bare to look her in the eye. To know she’d never walk again because of him. – but it wasn’t until the joker has ESCAPED that it had began. Her dad had searched for the mad man day & night. Every spare minute was devoted to finding the bastard. The obsession had taken a new path now though. It was growing darker. He was growing MAD. His badge was removed after he’d badly maimed several of the jokers goons. Even going as far as to shoot a select few. - but he didn’t stop there. He began interrogating innocent civilians. The final straw had been holding Harley Quinn hostage, in hopes that he would just SHOW UP. Just so he could see the joker. Get him in the same room. But no dice. & after a long court process. Her father had been sentenced to Arkham for REHABILITATION.
three years of therapy, an experimental surgery, a total of TWO family members now in Arkham & only a slow brewing FURY to curb the bitterness in her mouth when she saw the BAT SIGNAL fly up every night - Barbara had finally regained the use of her legs. But there’s a low THRUM of hatred in every new step she takes now. She’d watched batman move on. Watched his little ‘family’ grow. – Her predicament had been a MIRACLE. & she wasn’t going to waste it. She’d kept up appearances throughout her therapy. Turned up to every Wayne family event. Just to make nice with the man responsible for her fathers state. The reason she’d been confined to a chair for three years – just so he wouldn’t suspect her of anything if her condition had improved. & when it had. She’d waited a little before donning a new costume. Batgirl wasn’t hers anymore. That was for a different woman. A different person. Someone not consumed by this HATRED. A hero. – No. That wasn’t her anymore. Barbara has had three years to think about what her next move will be. & with a mysterious new villain known as BLACK BIRD causing mayhem in Gotham, her list was only BEGINNING. With so much to ticked off. Starting with Batman.

STAR WARS
Barbara Gordon has been trained as a fighter from a very, very young age by her adoptive father, & uncle otherwise known as Jim Gordon. Her biological parents were killed when she was a toddler in the battle of Endor, serving the Rebel Alliance heroically. Both her parents & her uncle were part of the Rebel Alliance during the days of Luke Skyewalker, the fall of Darth Vadar, & the Empire’s defeat. Now her uncle remains apart of the Resistance under the orders of General Leia. Barbara has followed in her father’s footsteps, training at a very young age with the best of the Resistance, to combat against the rising threat of the first order, just before the disappearance of Luke Skyewalker. But she does not become a fully active member until she’s of age well after his disappearance. ( during the events of the Force Awakens ) As a solider, Barbara is a trained shooter & pilot, part of the Starfighter squadrons. Unlike many of her peers, Barbara has a sliiiight prejudice against Jedi & their habit of overwhelming history – fighters like her parents hardly getting as much credit.
